Bonfires

Please may we remind residents that weather conditions should always be taken into account when lighting a bonfire and the possibility of causing nuisance in the vicinity. If there is a problem with a bonfire causing a nuisance then the person lighting the bonfire should be approached and the situation explained to them. Trade waste should not be burned.

HELP NEEDED TO SAVE THE YELLOW BOOK

John Keen has ably edited The Yellow Book for many editions now. Unfortunately he is unable to cope with the increasing work from this successful village publication and needs help from an enthusiastic volunteer. The future of The Yellow Book depends on someone stepping in as soon as possible. The assistant would take over dealing with the advertising, responding to email enquiries and revenue invoicing and collection. It would be a time commitment of approximately 2 to 3 hours a month. Please contact John Keen direct on 01440 730226 or email: editor@sb-yellowbook.org
